Visitors!!

Our latest visitors were Nevin and Cordy...or Daddy and Mother....or Grandpa and Grandma! Just depends who you ask! We enjoyed our time spent with them and the reconnecting.
Thanks so much for all you done.. WE LOVE YOU!!

A Tea Party with Grandma

One of Tori's special memories with her Grandma is having tea parties. A time of sipping tea, eating sweets, sharing hearts and making precious memories!

Playing Games...

These kids played so many games with their grandparents. Sometimes the games, especially checkers got a little competitive!! One person decided that they need to be careful how many games they play so they can stay a "good sport"....I won't mention any names :)

On the Train....

Train ride through the Royal Gorge

The river is so high and fast that they aren't allowing the rafting companies to take groups through the gorge right now. It was a wild, churning, raging force....awesome to see.

Some people go through the Gorge to see the sights.....others are content to hang out...even upside down!

Relaxing at a cabin in Wet Mountain Valley

This cabin has a view of the Sangre de Christo Mountains. It was a good time of hanging out together, playing games and enjoying the beauty of God's creation!

Inside S'mores

Due to a fire ban we had to make our s'mores indoors over the gas flame. They tasted ummm ummm good!

Moroccan Food

There is chicken under the carrots and potatoes.
Beef and Apricot Tagine. This is eaten with bread.
Chicken couscous....with lots of yummy vegetables. We miss Morocco and so every Monday night for supper I try to make a Moroccan meal. I have made the bread, although it still needs some changing to make it taste more like real Moroccan bread! I've also made Roasted Pepper Salad and Meatball Tagine.

Friends

It was special to have Doug and Julia and their children come and spend 2 weeks with us! I took over 1000 pictures and so this is truly just a "sliver" of what went on while they were here!!

Camping beside the Sand Dunes....

Scenery from our backyard

We get to see Pikes Peak from our kitchen and dining room windows. I never get tired of seeing our God's awesome handiwork....
"I lift my eyes unto the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." Ps 121: 1-2

Re-starting our Blog!!!

Can you believe it?! We are going to try and give you an idea of what our lives consist of here in Colorado. This state is unique in many ways and we've learned to love this place. Our little house feels like home although we still long for Morocco. I'll try to post lots of pictures to bring you up to date.
