Getting fruit and produce

We enjoy the cheap fruit and produce here. The other day Donna bought 3lbs of mandarin oranges for 50 cents. Today I bought 4 1/2lbs of potatoes for about $1.10.
I think this watermelon was about 50 cents a pound. Some people have portable carts like this pulled by donkeys or mules and others have stands along the roads.

Internet

Many of you have been trying to communicate with us via Skype, Vonage phone, or e-mail. We been experiencing problems for days. Keep trying and don't give up. Hopefully soon it will greatly improve!!

Chilly inside and outside

It adds an extra challenge to morning devotions when it feels like it's freezing inside!

Our desert trip

Where to start. We planned a three day trip to the desert prepared for the warm dry climate that is common for this time of year. We wanted to leave at 8am Monday morning but our van had ignition problems so we got off around 10am.
Our trip took longer then planned. We had a good cautious driver but not very aggressive. You can only rent a van here WITH a driver.
We arrived in the southern part of Morocco to very cool weather and rain. It basically rained for the next 24 hours and was very cool the entire time we were there. Most of us weren't dressed for how cool it was. One of the Moroccan's said it hadn't been rainy and cool like this for 10 years. Go figure:)
We were planning on taking our camel ride Tuesday but we got rained out. We opted to stay another day beings that we traveled all the distance and the cost of rooms where cheap. Little did we know we would not have been able to return home if we had wanted to. The rivers flooded from all the rain. The only road out of the desert that would lead us to home was covered by lots of water.
Praise the Lord Wednesday the rain stopped, the sun came out and we had a wonderful day of riding camel and enjoying the sand dunes!!! We had a wonderful time filled with lots of fun and many great memories that will last forever!
Despite the cold and rain we feel very blessed for the fun and safety!!
The few pictures I was going to put on turned into more like an album. What can I say I had over 1,000 to choose from. It took me hours to organize this- I hope you enjoy it!!
Blessings,
Brian

We stopped in the mountains to look at and touch the monkeys. Brent got more then he bargained for. When he wasn't watching one of the little ones jumped on his back. He was NOT impressed! I think it scared him more then anything. I tried to console him by telling him I thought it would be a cool thing to have a monkey on my back. I'm not sure if it worked.

The humble homes of many
