AWANA CLUB AWARDS NIGHT

Brent was happy to finish his 2nd book. He has his red ribbon hanging in his room.
Brad gets a ribbon for the completion of Book 1 and a special Achievement award. Since he missed so many days with the chicken pox he had to work extra hard to finish his book this year! Way to GO Brad!!
Tori received several awards. She finished 2 books and got a special achievement award.
Good Job Tori!!

Kelly and Cubbie Bear. She was so proud of her award, ribbon and coupon to Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream shop!

Boys hard at work...

Brian brought home some old garage doors from work and the boys took the scrap aluminum off to be recycled. They loved using Brian's tools :o)

Patch the Pirate???

Kelly needs to have her eye patched a hour, 3 days a week. We do it in 1/2 hour increments since it makes her eye SO tired! I read to her during that time and it helps her endure the strain. This eye is so weak that she needs the book that close to be able to see the pictures even with her glasses on! We are praying that her eye will get stronger and stronger!

Kelly dusts the chairs....

Field trip to the Prison Museum

Brian and I took the children to visit a prison museum in Canon City. It was very interesting since we hear lots about prisons and inmates because of living in a county that has approx. 15 prisons! Take special note of the last photo and what the sign says. Incredible......

Rachel ......

What a special surprise we had when we were able to have Rachel Pearsey with us for a weekend! She is an artist friend of ours that we learned to know in Morocco. Her art is incredible and if you want to see her heart visit her web site at www.rachelpearsey.com
When ever I am with Rachel she challenges me to be more, to reach higher, mover closer, dig deeper and BE the person I was created to BE! Thanks Rachel for being my friend!
Playing games and reliving Moroccan memories..... we had so much fun with Rachel!!!

Rock climbing with Aunt Rachel......

what is hiking if you can't crawl too?

And we ALWAYS carry a tweezers and needle along for the nasty cactus that like to find their way through our shoes!!

Kelly feels better!

Thank you for praying for Kelly! She is feeling better and is out riding her bike a little this afternoon. She got this basket because she was so brave and for the most part kept such a positive, cheerful attitude through all the itchy chicken pox. She was excited to give her little animals a ride!

Chicken Pox!!

Kelly has a quiet moment in the midst of lots of itching and pain. She had her times of "freaking out" but for the most part she was a real trooper! She drew a picture to show herself with the chicken pox. Note how on the picture the pox are right next to each other. :0) She says she has the "chicky pox"!

Brent....

Brent balances a bean bag on his head and helps his team take first place in the K-2 grade.

Brad....

Brad gets ready for a relay race. His team won first place and he was so proud of his medal!!

Tori......

In this interesting tug-o-war game, the rope was pulled 4 ways. The team that was holding onto the rope and picked up their bean bag first was the winner.

Kelly loses her 1st tooth!!

Kelly had a big day on Wed. She had a loose tooth and when Tori offered her a Sprite to let her pull it....out it came! What are sisters for?? She is so proud of finally getting her "grown up" teeth!
